Risk is a classic game that has been given an update to make the gameplay shorter and more customizable. Now, you can play Risk in 30 minutes to an hour. The game comes with a gameboard; five armies with 40 infantry, 12 calvary, and eight artillery each; 43 cards; five dice; two reference cards; and rules. The game is for two to five players.
The rules do include the classic way to play, but if you'd rather try the newer version, gameplay goes something like this. On your turn, you perform four actions: place your troops, attack, maneuver your troops, and draw a card if you can. To attack, two players roll a set number of dice, and the player with the higher dice roll wins. In this newer version of the game, you insert the Cease Fire card in a random spot in the middle of the card deck. The object of the game is to be the first player to control a certain number of territories (determined by how many players you have). If the Cease Fire card is drawn, the game ends, and the player with the most territories wins.
