During the Motion of Thanks on President Ram Nath Kovind's address in Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday spoke about the three farm laws that have triggered the ongoing farmer protests, and said minimum support prices (MSP) will remain in the future. Referring to the large number of Punjab farmers protesting against the agricultural laws, he said India is proud of every Sikh, but language used by some to mislead others will not benefit the nation. Modi quoted his predecessor Manmohan Singh and said those taking a U-turn on farm laws will agree with him.
