U.S. Appeals Court Hears Arguments Over Trump’s Immunity Claim

A Washington, D.C., Circuit Court of Appeals is hearing arguments Tuesday over whether former President Donald Trump is immune from prosecution on charges he illegally tried to overturn the 2020 election. Trump, who is expected to be in attendance, wants the court ‘to overturn a lower-court ruling rejecting his claims of immunity in special counsel Jack Smith’s 2020 election subversion case,’ according to CNN.
