1:35 I have BEEN
Been - complete visits
My wife has been to the supermarket. The fridge is full!
2:21 Have you ever BEEN to...?
Use BEEN in this structure.
E.g. Have you ever been to China? - No, I’ve never been to China.
3:18 I haven't BEEN for / since
Haven’t been + for / since
When was the last time you went to the dentist? I haven’t been to the dentist since December
I haven’t been to the dentist for 6 months
3:58 I have BEEN + for / since
Have been + for / since
You are still there, and we are specifying how long you have been there!
My wife has been at the supermarket for 2 hours. I hope she’s not spending too much money!
My wife has been at the bank since 10:00. There must be a big queue.
4:58 Meaning of To Have BEEN AND GONE
He’s been and gone = He arrive and left.
Those days have been and gone.
