Special Sewing Note - Ripping to cut may not work for all t-shirts (especially thin/worn-out shirts, which really aren't a great choice to use anyway - or when cutting the thin cord strips) - so do a test rip and if it doesn't work, just use scissors to cut to size and try to use newer, thicker T-shirts.

AGAIN I STRESS: Please Make to DONATE to PLACES needing face masks! Wash on Sanitary (EXTRA HOT) before donating or check to see if the place you are giving them to plans to sanitize them.

*this tutorial is NOT intended for people to make so they can go out in public more, but OK to make/wear if you have to go out to get necessities - PLEASE STAY HOME AS MUCH AS YOU CAN - this tutorial is intended to help in areas where face masks are in short supply and vulnerable people who can't get real masks could benefit from these - people like hospital patients, people with underlying conditions, nursing home residents, homeless, etc... I hope that our health care workers will get the surgical medical-grade masks they need, but if they don't have them, these would be better than nothing.
