Faux wood (driftwood) finish with chalk or mineral paint and stain. Ikea Rast Hack!

This technique will give you the look of weathered wood/driftwood. You can control the variations depending on the type of stain and paint that you use. We prefer using chalk/mineral based paints and water base stains (not gel). The chalk is great for absorbing the stain creating a really cool finish!

This is also a fun IKEA hack! Add some legs, some pulls, and you have a cheap piece for a small space!

We had an amazing run, but I wanted to be home more with my family, so I took my teachings online and built a membership called the Shabby Divas $5 Paint Club. Over time, I realized people were just joining my membership to learn how to run their creative business, grow a product, a membership and all the things. In January of 2019, I started my first coaching/mentoring platform and today I have the incredible pleasure of working with hundreds of creatives to do the same with their businesses.
