Death and Other Details with Angela Zhou

Chinese-born and New Zealand-raised Angela Zhou plays Teddy Goh while also working as a writer of the Hulu/Disney+ series, 'Death and Other Details'.

The series stars Mandy Patinkin as the world’s greatest detective, and Violett Beane as his gifted but reluctant protégé, who must work together to solve a murder on a vintage ocean liner sailing the Mediterranean.

Zhou's character Teddy is a member of two Chinese families on the show. We speak with the actor-writer about the role diversity played in the writers room to bring depth to each family, writing authentic characters and how the specificity of language is an integral factor in the show's storytelling.
