UK Gladiators - Series 2 1993 - Episode 1 - Heat 1

For the majority of the show of Gladiators 1993, the contenders now wear new uniforms denoting 4 colours from this series onwards; for the women, pink on Ulrika's side and yellow on John's side and for the men red on Ulrika's side and blue on John's side.

Pauline Oliver (dietitian and nutritionist from Doncaster, South Yorkshire) versus Katie Tanner (PA to charters surveyor from London)

Richard Berry (plastic technician from Darwin, Lancashire) versus Phil Norman (martial arts instructor from Poole, Dorset)

Notes: In the events in this 1993 series of Gladiators, 6 different events will be listed on after 6 events with 12 events.
2 events from last year series that are played in this 1st heat of Gladiators 1993 are The Wall and Hang-Tough.
4 new events are played in the 1st heat of Gladiators 1993. The 4 new events are 1st, Skytrak, 2nd, Powerball which wouldn’t have been forgotten from the 1st series as it is a main event, 3rd, Tilt which is a hard event which is preferred 2 goes of a pull and a tug at 30-second bouts but for Tilt, a gladiator versing 1 contender only not 2 contenders and 4th, Suspension Bridge which is a new combat event as an adaption to Duel.
And also for Suspension Bridge, it is played for odd numbered episodes.

And when it comes to the new look of the Eliminator that is where only 1 female and 1 male contender will go through to the quarter finals.

The Gladiators casts remain as usual like from 1992 series, last year. But there is a new Gladiators cast who is Andrew Norgate, the timekeeper who will stand by John Anderson for when he is needed with his stop watch.

The new Gladiators who join the 1993 Gladiators Series are Nightshade, Falcon, Hunter and Trojan except Zodiac who doesn’t appear until Heat 2
