In 2013, Frederic Pierucci, an executive of French industrial conglomerate Alstom, was arrested in the U.S. charged with bribing Indonesian officials to win a power plant contract. Five years later, Huawei's CFO Meng Wanzhou also fell victim to the U.S. long-arm jurisdiction. What are the similarities between the two cases? What can companies and countries do to avoid being prey to U.S. prosecution? Pierucci, co-author of "The American Trap", spoke to World Insight.
