Ferguson, Golden State Insurance Company administrator Verna A. Hickman, dentist and member of the Los Angeles Police Commission J. Alexander Somerville, food editor for Ebony Magazine Freda DeKnight, typewriter speed champion Cortez Peters, model and radio personality Dorothea Towles, 65 year British Embassy employee Charles Browne, piano roll creator Lawrence Cook, and cartoonist Jackie Ormes.
