When he was 23, Scott “Scooter” Braun was fired from So So Def Records, but his success since then has been anything but so-so.

In 2009, Braun produced the first album by “I Love College” singer Asher Roth (which sadly turned out to be Roth’s only success), but in that same year, Braun came across another singer who would make him a major success. That singer was Justin Bieber, and Braun helped him release his first EP and launch his career.

Braun went on to start SchoolBoy records, where he’s managed artists like Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande, but the more that people learn about Braun, the more uncomfortable they get. This is the shady side of music manager Scott “Scooter” Braun.
