Driving the Alaska Highway from Whitehorse to Fort Nelson is one of the most unforgettable stretches of the journey north and in this episode, it absolutely delivers.

We leave Whitehorse and head toward Fort Nelson, finding a quiet overnight pullout before continuing on to the must-visit Liard River Hot Springs for a relaxing soak. But this drive quickly turns into a full-on wildlife safari. In just one day, we spot our first herd of caribou, FIVE black bears, and a herd of wood bison, all along this iconic stretch of the Alaska Highway. Along the way, we also make an unexpected U-turn for updates to The MILEPOST and discover what might just be the best cinnamon buns on the entire highway.
