I had the honor and privilege of introducing my brother Robert Irving III’s brother-in-law R&B legend Phil Perry to the Father of Contemporary Gospel Music Edwin Hawkins at the 1998 Edwin & Walter Hawkins Music & Arts Love Fellowship Conference. Phil Perry performed “I Love You Lord” on Founder’s Night just after Bishop Noel Jones preached.
