How to choose the right frame for your painting
Choosing a frame for your artwork can be such a chore! In fact, it can be downright HARD! And it's an important decision as a frame (and accompanying mat) can enhance or actually detract from your piece. You want to the selection to show off your piece! So it's super important to put some time and effort into choosing the best frame you can.
In this video, framer Mitchell Jones and I explore this topic in-depth. You'll learn what to look for when choosing the colour of a mat and how to match it with the perfect frame. We use one of my soft pastel paintings as an example to take you through the whole process. It was an eye-opener for me!
Mitchell and I made an earlier video that gives a framing 101 overview. In this one, we get into the aesthetics of framing. Here's a link to the previous video: https://youtu.be/YsGx1U4E4vc
