Easy Wedding Cake by Kids

We made a Wedding Cake or Wedding Anniversary Cake for the first time for our grandparents. We used a different vanilla cake recipe here.

Here are the ingredients: (This makes a 2-tier cake)
3 and 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1 and 1/2 sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsps baking powder
1 and 1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream
1 cup whole milk

Mix the dry ingredients together. Then in a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients. Then incorporate the wet and the dry ingredients. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until the toothpick comes out clean.

For buttercream:
1 pound powdered sugar
4 sticks unsalted butter
2 tsp vanilla extract

Make sure the butter is nice and soft before beating. Beat the butter until light and fluffy. Then add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Keep mixing until you reach the desired consistency. You may add more powdered sugar to make it more firm.
