Claude Can Now Dream - Memory of Agentic AI Explained!

Hey everyone, in this video we are going to talk about Claude's new "Dreaming" feature and the system design behind memory in AI agents. We start from the basics of LLMs being stateless, then walk through context windows, short-term memory (current chat thread) and long-term memory (extracted facts stored as key-value pairs and retrieved via RAG / vector search). Once the foundation is clear, we unpack what "Dreaming" actually does — Claude reflects asynchronously over past sessions, looks at the conversation as a whole instead of sentence-by-sentence, and reorganizes its memory store by merging duplicates and replacing stale entries. I also share a personal story from our own voice-agent product where we built a very similar concept called the "Subconscious Mind" before Claude Dreams was even announced.
