Rep. Juan Mendez – To Boldly Go: The Role and Responsibility of Atheism in American Politics

Rep. Juan Mendez is a member of the Arizona State House of Representatives, elected in 2012. In 2013, Rep. Mendez made headlines when he delivered a secular invocation on the floor of the chamber. Mendez is a first-generation American and native of Arizona. He represents Arizona’s 26th District which includes parts of Tempe, Mesa, and the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community.
