In the pages of Marvel comics, Captain America’s shield is constructed from a stronger alloy of adamantium — the same metal as Wolverine’s claws — despite the MCU changing the shield to be made from vibranium from Wakanda and Black Panther. But in the final minutes of Avengers Endgame, Cap gave Falcon Sam Wilson a NEW SHIELD, the shield that he’ll use in the upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Erik Voss explains all the new evidence pointing to traces of adamantium throughout the MCU, connecting to a rumored Black Panther 2 subplot involving a secret Wakandan colony and adamantium mine in Antarctica.
