How to Use the Habring² Pusherless Chronograph!!! | Horology By The Sea

A fascinating Limited Edition from 2017 is this Habring² made in collaboration with the CronotempVs Collectors Club. Featuring Habring²s patented COS ZM pusher-less chronograph mechanism, the user is allowed to start, stop, and reset the chronograph simply by twisting the crown. The chronograph hours and minutes are set on the central axis for optimal readout.

The dial features an interesting implementation of Tachymeter readout. 99% of watches with Tachymeter are created to measure the speed of a fast moving vehicle. In this instance, the scale has been changed as a tool to measure one's walking pace.

In addition to a Tachymeter, a Telemeter scale also exists on the dial to measure speed of an event over a known distance of time. As an example, simply twist the crown counterclockwise when lightning strikes and clockwise once thunder is heard. The distance of lightning relative to your position will then be clearly measured on the dial. Furthermore, the solid caseback is engraved with the formula used to calculate the speed of sound which takes temperature, relative air humidity and elevation into account.

This watch also marks a first for Habring² with the implementation of the HMS (Habring² Magnetic Shield) shrouding the escapement for increased protection against magnetization.

The Stainless Steel case measures 44mm x 14.5mm x 54mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Furnished on a long grey calfskin strap and complete with Box & Papers.
