Welcome to this shootout between two great Epiphone guitars: the Standard Casino, and the smaller body Casino Coupe. These guitars are both stock, save for the removed pick guards. The Standard Casino gives you the classic full body size, reminiscent of the British Invasion, and has a deep, open tone, whereas the Coupe gives you a newer small body size more akin to a Les Paul or ES339, and is a bit punchier with a slightly compressed top end. Each guitar is strung with Elixir Nanoweb strings, and I’m plugging into a Fender 59 Bassman Reissue, stereo micd with a Shure SM57 and Blue Encore 100i. I’ve got a Vortex Pedals Grand Reverb on to add some air, and for the overdriven tones I’m using a Keeley Red Dirt, which is in the Tubescreamer realm. I’m plugging in using Sinasoid Slate Cables. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe for more music and demos!
