I love my life 🖤

Even when life is heavy, even when things happen that are painful, I'm so grateful that my life is my own. I'm so grateful for the brilliant soul who saved me that summer evening. I'm so grateful for each and every opportunity I am given to make him smile. I'm grateful to feel this unconditional love towards another person. Even when I feel scared or hurt, I think of him and everything I am lights up. I remember that we are Stardust, and I know for sure that absolutely everything will be okay.

I am not afraid of what the future holds. I am not afraid of the waiting, the stumbling, the hesitation. I am not afraid of the grief, or the guilt, or the severely juxtaposed gutting-feeling that accompanies emotional relief. I am not afraid, because those are precisely the moments that give everything else so much meaning.

I am not angry. I am not hurting. I am only grateful. There is so much joy within me right now, and none of that would be possible without the key around my neck.
