'I want to give back:' Enrique Pepén talks city council campaign, hopes for Boston
With the support of his former boss, Mayor Michelle Wu, former city hall staffer Enrique Pepén is running to represent Boston’s 5th district on the Boston City Council. Pepén — who ran the Office of Neighborhood Services for Wu — will face off against retired Boston Police Officer José Ruiz, who has the backing of former mayor Marty Walsh. Pepén joined host Abdallah Fayyad to go over his vision for the city and his district.
