#1 - Power Chops and Riffs: 30 Days of Metal Riffs Series
This is the FIRST video in a brand new series I'm calling 30 DAYS OF METAL RIFFS!
**Get Your FREE Metal Guitar Practice Guide here:
https://www.jasonstallworth.com/guitarist/
In this series, you're going to learn how to play a variety of metal riffs, metal guitar techniques, how to combine those techniques, and some different styles of metal!
I have 2 goals for you as you go through 30 Days of Metal Riffs:
1 - I want you teach you how to become a better metal guitar player, musician, and songwriter
2 - I am going to help you establish a consistent practice pattern with playing guitar
I'm also going to challenge you on these lessons and there will be homework!
This first riff is called POWER CHOPS.
Why?
Because the riff is choppy and powerful! It's full of power chords and palm muting, and there's a short riff you'll play at the end.
Power Chops is very much a classic metal guitar riff, and you'll hear a hint of thrash metal guitar as well.
I hope you enjoyed this video and stay tuned for the next 30 Days of Metal Riffs video!!
Keep it Metal,
Jason
