Ty Pownall is an artist working in Los Angeles, California. He received his MFA from Claremont Graduate University in 2008. He is currently a Professor of Studio Art at Pepperdine University. Pownall is represented by Jason Vass in Los Angeles, CA. He has shown recently with the Torrance Art Museum in Torrance, CA, HilbertRaum Gallery in Berlin, Germany, Frederick R. Weisman Museum in Malibu, CA, Durden and Ray Gallery, Los Angeles, CA, The Brand Library Art Center, Glendale, CA, DAC Gallery, Los Angeles, CA, and Studio Channel Islands Art Center, Camarillo, CA. He is a member of the art collective, Durden and Ray, a curatorial group which operates a gallery space in downtown Los Angeles.
