Adjacent Segment Disease caused by Degenerative Fusion in Neck

Ross Hauser, MD, and Brian Hutcheson, DC discuss a case where neck instability has caused the lower cervical vertebrae to fuse. What happens with cases of fused bones, whether through degeneration or fusion surgery, is the motion will come from the adjacent segments and lead to Adjacent Segment Disease which is a type of spinal instability. As we have discussed in many of our videos, cervical instability causes many symptoms and syndromes, including neck pain, migraines, and more.
