Jimmy Watson’s story is one of military service, controversy, private security, cryptocurrency, and survival under extreme public scrutiny.

Watson began his military career in 1999 when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, later completing multiple deployments, including two tours in Afghanistan. His background reportedly includes serving as a Marine Corps Squad Leader in Afghanistan, working as a Blackwater Team Leader in Iraq, and later identifying as a U.S. Navy SEAL Sniper.

Watson’s time with Blackwater placed him near one of the most controversial incidents of the Iraq War: the 2007 Nisour Square Massacre, where 17 Iraqi civilians were killed. The incident resulted in criminal charges against several Blackwater operators, major international fallout, and eventually the rebranding of Blackwater. Years later, the convicted operators were pardoned by President Donald Trump.

After his military and private security work, Watson entered a new chapter when he was hired in 2017 by tech entrepreneur John McAfee, founder of McAfee Antivirus. Watson provided security for McAfee and later became involved in the Team McAfee cryptocurrency venture, where he served as CEO before parting ways with McAfee in 2018.

That venture later became the focus of federal allegations involving cryptocurrency promotion, including alleged “pump and dump” activity and paid ICO promotions that were allegedly not properly disclosed. Watson has since faced legal challenges and, according to his own social media presence, has been living under house arrest while awaiting trial.

Today, Jimmy Watson is using his voice in a new way through his podcast “Tell My Story” and his TikTok content under @MightyWarrior2022, where he shares humor, personal stories, and reflections from a life filled with combat, controversy, and reinvention.
