Rodrigo Moreno on The Delinquents, Duality, and Quietness | NYFF61

We were thrilled to be joined by director Rodrigo Moreno following a screening of his NYFF Main Slate selection The Delinquents. In a conversation moderated by FLC Senior Director of Programming Florence Almozini, Moreno discusses duality, quietness, and the heist movie genre.

Timid bank clerk Morán (Daniel Elías), fed up with his dead-end middle-management job, decides one day to simply walk into the vault and pack a bag with enough cash to cover his salary until retirement age. A heist picture unlike any other, The Delinquents upends genre expectations with a gentle yet deftly constructed existentialist fable. A MUBI release.

The Delinquents is now playing at Film at Lincoln Center with a Q&A on October 20. Get tickets and learn more: https://www.filmlinc.org/films/the-delinquents/
