4 Exercises to get Toes-to-bar!

Welcome to What-the-Fundamental!

Here are 4 exercises you can do to get to toes-to-bar.

1. Banded pull downs.

4 Sets x 15 reps
With a PVC and a band on the rig, put the PVC through the band.
Lie down on the floor, with the band and PVC overhead, and then bracing you core and lifting you heels of the floor ever so slightly, pull the PVC over to your midline. Try and keep the movements controlled.

2. The superman.

4 sets x 5 to 10 slow reps(negative).
Now, working on the opposite side of the toes-to-bar. Getting into that arched position!
Lying flat on the floor, on your stomach and your arms over head you will try and lift your extremities up of the floor as hard as you can! Using a light dumbbell to add some extra spice and build some extra strength and to make certain you question your life choices.

3. Toes to pole (negative).

4 sets x 5 negatives.
The next thing you can do to develop some core strength. Once again, lying on you back with your arms overhead, you going to grip the bottom of the rig and then pointing you toes; bring your toes up all the way as close and as high up to rig as you can, and don’t stress if you can’t get all the way there, remember, the effort counts and were building strength!

4. Box drill toe to bar.

4 sets x 5-10 reps
Last but not least we're going to is put all of these things together with the help of a box so it’s a controlled environment,
Setup a box, just behind the rig so that you can hang with your feet in front of it.
From there, you’re going to go into your superman arch! Hold for a second or two and then combining the band pull down and the toes to pole. pull your body behind the rig, start of by getting your legs straight in front of you and as you get stronger you can aim higher, keeping in mind that this is core movement and your extremities just complete the movement.
Do these exercises 2 to 3 times a week, until you can hit that first toes-to-bar.
