Vilma Santos' movie "Langis at Tubig" was a turning point in Sharon Cuneta's career. She sang the theme song of the movie at the age of 14 which was written by George Canseco. It was a beginning of a beautiful partnership between her and George.

The film was directed by Danny Zialcita who insisted her to join the parade in Cebu when Vilma couldn't make it (being pregnant with Luis Manzano at that time) with a promise that if she indeed join the parade, he will make her movie. Then a year after, "Dear Heart" was born. Along with it was the future megastar of Philippine showbiz.
