David Wells, Director of Photography, takes the Atomos Sumo PRO‑19 on set for Gong Fu Tea, a film by director Jarrett New that explores Chinese tea culture, family and tradition.

With its solid build, super‑bright 4K display and customisable short keys, the Sumo PRO‑19 holds up perfectly on set. David is shooting on a Sony Venice II with Cooke S7 lenses, and the Sumo gives him an accurate view of exposure and colour throughout the day. The team also uses CFexpress recording and external SSDs over USB‑C for extra flexibility.
