BLACKOUT - THE WARRIORS ECLIPSE (animatic)

an animatic i've been boarding out and planning for months now!

there are a l o t of things i changed around from the books to suit the song and the context. maybe consider it an au in some ways? the eclipse is lunar rather than solar, which is definitely the most intense change i made.

i tried to allow every clan to have some piece of the spotlight. lionpaw and hollypaw pace around eachother looking for sol, jaypaw watches leafpool panic, mothwing searches for her apprentice in desperation amongst the hectic crowd. spiderleg searches aimlessly for daisy, not really putting any effort into it, hurting her heart. firestar and brambleclaw fuss over the fighting with windclan. blackstar loses faith as his deputy, russetfur watches on, unable to do anything. littlecloud expresses his reluctance to lose his faith with shadowclan, bringing firekit with him and teaching him of starclan. and finally, crowfeather shows an emotionless, cold attempt to bond with nightcloud, but she's already made her choice after moons of her trying to get him to love her.

i tried to showcase many of the intense arcs of the power of three in one animatic, all of these character arcs coming to a head among the intensity and distress of the eclipse above them. im hoping i got it to come across well enough!

all characters belong to erin hunter and working partners, and the song is blackout from in the heights. neither of these medias are mine, all i claim is the artwork presented with them.

also, thistlerat is hosting a warriors map to this song, about the forest fire that happens in the first arc of the books! you should definitely check it out, its coming together great. ive just been working on this animatic for a v e r y long time, and i imagined the song with a different scene. i love seeing other artists' takes on songs and scenes from the books! one of the greatest parts of this fandom is the diversity of talents and creations, and i encourage everyone to explore it to its highest potential.
