Vienna Teng - Patreon Live@Home Highlights

One thing I miss about pre-Covid life is the monthly open get-togethers Jacob & I would host at our house. Every month had a different energy, depending on who showed up and the kinds of shenanigans we got up to. (Once we had grown adults sitting on the floor absorbed in a stuffed animal lip-sync battle. It was awesome.)

Here's a glimpse of where I get that lovely sense of ongoing community these days: the monthly livestreams I've been doing for Patreon patrons. I've been learning requests for covers, dusting off non-album songs I'd honestly forgotten I'd written, and getting a kick out of reading & responding to the live chat as I go. We've also added climate action Zoom hangouts following the livestreams, which remind me of the cozy late-night chats in our living room as the bigger monthly gathering wound down.

This Patreon community has enabled me to spend much more of my time focused on music and this next chapter of my working life, as well as to invest in the tools I need to grow as an artist & activist/organizer/whatever this is. To each of you who makes that possible: thank you.
