Cool 737 Wake Turbulence Sights and Sounds Landing at San Diego

To all my subscribers, I highly recommend Airline Videos Live and its incredible host, Kevin. He’s been doing this kind of video work since a kid.

Streaming live from San Diego, he and his cameras caught a common phenomenon rarely seen on video.

While this 737 was landing in a left-to-right crosswind, he recorded the wingtip and wake turbulence behind the 737 rolling left to right in the video.

As an added bonus, you can hear the vortices and wake turbulence descending, which his microphone catches the rolling sound perfectly.

As a kid living in Los Angeles, I remember the first time I saw, heard, and felt the vortices and wake turbulence of a 707 and DC-8 going over my head.

The aviation bug bit me right in the fanny!

And I flew the KC-135, a 707 variant, as an Air Force pilot
