Chisholm Trail Head Football Coach Marvin Nash Full Coaches Corner Interview
Chisholm Trail head football coach Marvin Nash joins the Coaches Corner to discuss his journey through Texas high school football, the college ranks and his mission to establish a new standard for the Rangers.
From helping build Denton Guyer into a successful program to experiencing college football at Rice and Ole Miss, Nash has seen what it takes to develop winning cultures at multiple levels. Now at Chisholm Trail, he’s using those experiences to give his players a first-class experience and show them what’s possible beyond high school.
“I got to see how you build a powerhouse. I got to see how you grow up the kids from a young age and teach them how to win.”
After taking over the program shortly before his first season, Nash quickly learned the importance of setting expectations and holding players accountable. His philosophy is simple: young athletes will rise to the standards established for them.
“I hear a bunch of coaches saying kids have changed. Nah, standards have changed.”
That mentality has helped shape 3100: The Trail of Toughness, Chisholm Trail’s identity built around hard work, discipline, football IQ and developing young men who understand the value of doing things the right way.
Nash also dives into his transition from Ole Miss to Chisholm Trail, lessons from his first season, building a winning culture, raising expectations and much more in this can’t-miss Coaches Corner interview.
