In fact, it's all too common for most people to forget about a celebrity entirely until their eventual death, when a wave of articles and news stories will appear to commemorate their life.
There are many older women who still continue to model and act despite their age, such as Meryl Streep or Maggie Smith. But have you noticed that the number of male senior actors is disproportionately larger than female senior actors? Unfortunately, the film industry has a habit of mainly hiring younger women, making it much harder for older women to continue to find work. This is because many female actresses are chosen primarily for their physical attractiveness, rather than for their acting skill.
Thankfully, there has been more effort lately to celebrate the lives and work of older women just as much as those of younger women. After all, a woman's wrinkles won't diminish her skill as an actor! Still, there are so many narratives of women who were celebrated for their talent while they were young before they were cast out of the film industry when they were no longer considered young and beautiful.
Today, we're going to look at the life and legacy of Margaret Nolan, a stunning woman who was best known for her appearance in the James Bond film Goldfinger. Her career reached its peak in the 60s and 70s, but slowed down during the 80s. After 1983, she would only appear in one more film for the rest of her life. Sadly, after she grew older, Hollywood seemingly had no need for her talents, and she disappeared from the limelight to work quietly on her work as a visual artist.
While Margaret Nolan was a beautiful model, there was so much more to her than just her looks. In today's video, we're going to take a look at how her career bloomed before ultimately withering away until her eventual, tragic death in October of 2020. While she was best known for her appearance in Goldfinger, there was one other film that helped her attain great fame during the height of her career. Make sure you stick around to learn about her film appearance with the legendary band The Beatles. We hope you like this video, and don't forget to subscribe to Facts Verse for more!
