Another go at Reaper's 4 way split screen (2x2 matrix in the video processor) for this video with a bit more ambition, four shots of different bits of equipment! *everybody gasps*. Reckon I'll use this more as I like that you can see everything running at the same time. Shame my computer isn't good enough to stream all the videos in real-time though, makes editing ssssslllllooooowwwww af.

So good side of increased social distancing, more time in the studio for experiments like this. Shame I currently have zero income as well, but that's another story! So the Korg Ms10 is playing a strange bass patch I made that uses filter FM from my custom expander, the Yamaha Cs2x is playing string on a modified preset (I think it was called 'Simple') with added mod wheel to cutoff and some minor envelope tweaks. Lovely 'vintage' sounding strings on that thing. The microKorg is being used for lead with a patch I made ages ago that I keep tweaking to suit whatever I'm working on. The field recording from MiniDisc was made way back while I was waiting for my then girlfriend, now wife to finish work and it's the sound of rain from inside a car. Got to love that. I recorded it on the Fostex XR-3 four track tape recorder, mixed it entirely analog on my Inkel MX880E and added Zoom 1201 reverb. Phew, that'll do.

I'm calling this Melodic Ambient because I have no bloody idea what it would be otherwise.
