Replica King Tut Coffins for HMNS

A year ago we created a cross-section replica of King Tut's famous nested shrines which included this three-layer coffin containing King Tut's mummy. These three layers were created by rough milling the shapes on our robot arm, hand sculpting the intricate relief details, and finally painting with colors approved by HMNS' resident egyptologist.

In reality, the top two coffins were made of gilded wood and the innermost coffin was made of pure, solid gold weighing almost 250lbs! Can you believe King Tut's coffins only made up 3 of the 9 total layers? We'll cover those 6 remaining layers in a future reel.
