Bringing the Salmon Home to Secwépemculucw

This short film highlights the cultural significance of the sqléten (salmon) to the Secwépemc Nation and touches on damage in the Columbia River Basin from damming the river resulting in the loss of sqléten for the last eighty years. It shows the devastating impact on our Nation especially the Kenpesq’t area. Ending with the efforts to restore the sqléten to the Columbia Basin area by the Secwépemc, Ktunaxa, Sylix, Canada, and the Province.
