Changing Head on 1977 Ludwig Supraphonic

I decided to record myself changing my snaredrum head on my 1977 Ludwig Supra. This snare is extremely difficult to tune due to being an entire 8th of an inch out of round. The rims are also bent so the combination makes for a uneven tuning surface. A small turn on one lug can drastically change the sound of the entire drum so a long process of tuning is needed. I put a REMO Emperor coated on the batter side and have a Ambassador snare side on the snare side. I sped up most of the footage but left the end when I finally got the drum where I wanted it. I started by tuning the drum up to the pitch I wanted and then meticulously made my way around the drum making sure all the lugs were even. After I moved the drum over to the set and changed the tensions until It sounded good with the set. I finally used some plastic lug-locks which I got a while back to make sure my snare will keep its tune. I found without them my snare would go out of tune really quickly as I hit rim shots next to the lugs. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them in the comments. I've needed to take a break from playing in general due to bad tendinitis and tennis elbow in both arms. I had to stop playing entirely for 3 months and now I'm staring to play about an hour a week. This snaredrum was originally owned by a Highscool in the 70's. I assume it was mistreated and dropped by a student many years ago knocking it out of round. I'm pretty sure I could make the drum a bit better with some bending but I'm not to worried, this drum still sounds great if you spend a little time getting it right.
