Leading w/ Liberty: Lessons in Self-Organization from the Fire Ground | Tim Moen | TEDxFortMcMurray

While working on his graduate thesis and studying teams of self-organized fire fighters, Tim uncovered some powerful insights about leadership that he has applied to his life with amazing results. In his TEDx talk, Tim shows us how he pioneered uncharted territory in his own organizational life by letting go of the illusion of command and control, and embracing the reality of a bottom-up universe.

Tim is a Fire Captain with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. When he is not working as a firefighter/paramedic, he is engaging in many activities; filmmaking, serial entrepreneurship, blog writing for the Huffington Post, being a human rights activist and, most recently, leading a Canadian federal political party.
