The city of Perm, as as it called between 1940 and 1957, was called Molotov in honour of Vyacheslav Molotov, , Soviet politician, diplomat and Old Bolshevik... Perm was founded in 1723
The city is located on the bank of the Kama River. a main tributary of the Volga River and one of the deepest and most picturesque rivers of Russia. During the Soviet period, when these photographs were taken, the city was closed to foreigners, due to the number of factories producing ammunition and other defensive industries.....
