Camilla Parker Bowles is currently in France with her husband Prince Charles. The Duchess of Cornwall showed off one luxurious piece of her jewellery collection, a pearl necklace with a huge diamond clasp.Mother-of-two Camilla Parker Bowles’ jewellery collection is rather extensive. It is made up of gifts from Prince Charles, pieces she has been loaned by the crown, and some she has been given by foreign royals. These include a collection of stunning demi-parures from the Saudi royal family.Prince Charles’ wife was given three enormous necklaces with over £3 million during one visit to Saudi Arabia in 2006.She was given a sapphire necklace, bracelet and ring combination, and two much such gifts with rubies and emeralds. The ruby necklace is perhaps the most lavish and could be worth more than £3 million alone. It has over 100 carats of colourless diamonds and 37 oval mixed-cut, presumably Burmese Rubies. However, some may be shocked to learn that Camilla Parker Bowles will not be able to keep these gifts. In fact, they will eventually be owned by Prince William, 35.This is because any jewels accepted by royals while on their official duties will be given to the monarch when they die. This means either Prince Charles or Prince William will likely be the monarch when these gems are passed on.They will then have a decision. They could keep them for use, loaning them to the likes of Kate Middleton. On the other hand the pieces can be incorporated into the Royal Collection.Failing that they can be loaned or donated to an organisation, or destroyed or thrown away. However, it is highly unlikely they pieces will be thrown away as they are unbelievably valuable.Shock details of Prince Charles and Camilla’s affair were revealed in an ITV documentary entitled The Real Camilla: HRH the Duchess of Cornwall. It is claimed Camilla began an affair with Charles, who was not yet married to Princess Diana, following Andrew’s own adulterous behaviour.“She was unhappy that she was the betrayed woman. This was the real problem,” said the interviewee.
