My friend Motion—a UK-based artist/producer I knew from my Brand New Heavies days—jumped into Sing by Numbers Live thinking he was about to see me perform.
And when he realized it was just a nerdy music talk show, he said:

“This is not what I signed up for.” 😅
But I told him to stay.

I even played a dope a cappella mashup of J. Cole, Beyoncé, and Rihanna with my girl Maya Azucena—

so yes, he still got a performance. 😎
What started as a surprise visit turned into a full-circle moment.

We swapped insights about numbers in notes and tempo…

and by the end, Motion left curious and convinced.
