Shamima Begum denied entry to UK by Supreme Court

Shamima Begum cannot return to the UK to pursue an appeal against the removal of her British citizenship, the Supreme Court has ruled.

Speaking with talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, Dr Rakib Ehsan from the Henry Jackson Society welcomed the move.

“All too often our legal system functions in a way that prioritises the individual rights of those who have a very dubious history over the interests of collective public safety and that really needs to change. In that sense I am supportive of this decision.”
