How to photograph plants like a pro

Before I was into houseplants, I was a self-taught photographer for 20 years, and professional photographer for 3 years. I would not have enjoyed this plant hobby as much if I wasn’t constantly hunting for moments to capture and share on instagram (and youtube). I hope that through this video I can show you have you can increase your photography skills for plants (and other subjects), and from this experience you will have a newfound love for plants.

One common question I get is how I get my plant photos background to look so white. I answer this with visual examples and tutorials. I also show you photo editing (post production) at the end of the video. Yes all my photos have been retouched before release, but this is industry standard. Cameras simply cannot see what our eyes see as there’s limitations to light capturing technology and light detection software.
