Which basin waste do I need?
In this video, we highlight types of basin waste and what differs between them.
Let’s start with the plug and chain waste. Certainly the most traditional design, this consists of a plug that is connected to the basin via a chain.
Just be aware that not all basins can support this kind of waste as it requires a fixing point or chain stay that’s built into the basin itself.
Next we have the click clack or push button waste. This features a very popular, simple design that makes it easy to use and maintain.
Push down on the plug to close, then push again to release. Cleaning is usually done by unscrewing the plug from the waste.
And the final thing to keep in mind when buying your new waste is whether it needs to be unslotted or slotted.
An unslotted waste is made for basins that do not have an overflow. Why not check out some of our stylish basins here.
Slotted wastes allow water to run through from the basin overflow. If your basin has an overflow, you will need to purchase a slotted waste.
