Our SAD separator uses a radial-flow (snail-type) medium-pressure (VR) fan located at the bottom. In the radial fan, air pressure reaches its maximum at its wall. To equalize the airflow, we use a chamber of a jet generator wherein one plane expands and, consequently, the air pressure is equalized. However to achieve better stabilization of the airflow both in the transverse and in the longitudinal sections, we have put a grid, although this solution might contribute to energy consumption. But we have taken this step consciously. As a result, the airflow comes to the jet generator evenly. This significantly improves the quality of grain separation. In ISM machines, even airflow cannot be achieved. What is an impeller? Ringed blades. The simplest example of the impeller is an ordinary axial fan inserted in a window. Such fan is a power unit of impeller machines. Let's now see how the air is distributed in "windows". There is no air flow in the center of the fan since there is motor there, there are no airflow on the corners since it should not be there... The maximum air flow is achieved near the ring. Fan blades rotate on the axis, either clockwise or counter-clockwise, twisting the air in a spiral. This adds significant heterogeneity in the transverse and longitudinal sections of the airflow. Since the distance between the impeller and nozzles is not large, the airflow does not have enough time to equalize. Such airflow could hardly separate grains by specific gravity. Dust is blown away and penetrates into almost all factions.
