Schist House Roof Rehabilitation - Solidity + Insulation + Design (English)

A case study of the construction of a new insulated roof on a schist stone («xisto») ruin. An Ecositana wooden structure with modern insulation and portuguese ceramic rooftiles. We explain how we approached the project and how we managed the use of local or vernacular materials, including clay mortar.
