Care Connect Mobile Health Clinic Ribbon-Cutting in Poplar Bluff, MO | Mission Mobile Medical

A ribbon was cut in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and a new mobile health clinic is set to bring care closer to families across Southeast Missouri.

Missouri Highlands Health Care celebrated the launch of the Care Connect Mobile Unit, a mobile health clinic that offers primary, prenatal, maternal, and behavioral health care to communities where access to care isn't always easy.

Missouri Highlands CEO Karen White described the unit as an answer to a real challenge in rural health care: for many families, the hardest part of staying healthy is simply getting there.

The Care Connect Mobile Unit is a partnership between Missouri Highlands Health Care, Aetna Better Health of Missouri, and the Global Mobile Healthcare Research Consortium.

To mark the day, the City of Poplar Bluff named June 9, 2026, "Women's Mobile Healthcare Initiative Day."
