Diagnosing MK4 Shifter Slop

Jim shows how to isolate and eliminate different causes of shifter slop in the MK4 VW shift mechanism in 5 and 6 speed cars. The key is to lock the transmission in the Home position so that the shift lever can be moved gently to see where there is extra play in the mechanism.
